“In a good bookroom you feel in some mysterious way that you are absorbing the wisdom contained in all the books through your skin, without even opening them.”

– Mark Twain

Ah, yes! One who shares my thought!

You’re standing in a library. A bookstore. Breathe deep. Smell the ink. Hear the stir of the pages. Feel the soft book covers. See the rows upon rows of volumes. They hold words. Many words. Many worlds.

Unlimited realms at your fingertips.

Reach out. Wrap your fingers around that book. The fat one. On the third shelf. Tucked in the far corner. With a jagged crease. Brush the worn title. Smile. Crack it open.

Ah.

A door to another world has been opened. Drink deep.

oh yes! I LOVE books! Big ones, little ones, and everything that comes in the middle! They are like friends always welcoming you back no matter what time of the day you hangout with them! Words are gifts from God…keep using them for His glory!

  2. The Bible says God “spoke” the world into existance. Therefore, there is nothing more powerful than faith and words. It is the very material of our universe. Why has God chosen the foolishness of preaching? More words? The pen is indeed mightier than the sword, God designed us that way. 🙂 Just adding a little “blue”!

  3. Ahh, yes! Nothng compares to a good bookroom, especially if they are used books. I enjoy trekking the paths that others have trod over the same pages. There is just something about those books…

  5. And then take the book, settle down in a big squashy armchair (preferably) and enjoy the wisdom.
    🙂

I want to hear from you. Seriously. I mean that.
